This video showcases my beautiful Kingma Contrabass Flute and provide's a Composer's Toolkit, designed to fire the imagination of creative writers interested in these new sounds! The first 2 minutes of the video focuses on the bottom register, demonstrating the colours, dynamics and effects which are so unique to this instrument.
Recorded for the New Year of 2015-2016 - this arrangement is pleasantly crunchy in places - with fanfare like motifs as the piece progresses.

The World Premiere Performance of Single Yellow Line - an original composition for Graded Flute Ensemble by Gareth McLearnon. This performance was conducted by the composer and was recorded at the final concert of the 2013 Sir James Galway Flute Festival held in Weggis, Switzerland.
The Premiere Performance of my 2015 work for Flute Orchestra 'Lamasery Jigsaw'. Theis work begins with a moody, ethereal opening, and finishes with a rocking 12/8 jig! This was performed at the closing concert of the Australian Flute Festival at the Llewellyn Hall at the Australian National University in Canberra.
Now that it's Public Domain - here's my own arrangement of the famous "Happy Birthday Song" for multiple FLUTES!! I'm playing on my Haynes 14K Gold Custom Flute, my Piccolo with Mancke Headjoint, my Amadeus by Wm. S. Haynes Alto Flute, my Brannen-Kingma Big Bore Bass Flute, and my Kingma Contrabass!
